             The intensive growth of Indian economy coupled with augmentation in production and service industries have intensified the demand of skilled manpower in the field of Business Administration and Management. Therefore it is the need of the hour for the institutions of higher learning to provide the industries the much sought after competent human resources.
             This Department of Business Studies in Scott Christian College (Autonomous) is designed not only to equip the young minds with theoretical knowledge but with a practical oriented technical know how of corporate governance. Further the programmes offered by this faculty is designed to impart more thrust on the qualities such as behavioural skills, communication soft skills and Leadership abilities of the students who are the major stakeholders of this programme. Mandatory hands on experience in industries, constant industrial visits, Career oriented skill development programmes, Personality and communication skill development programmes and regular guest lectures by experts within the course duration are the highlights of the programmes
offered by the department. Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), three years Undergraduate programme and Master of Management Studies (MMS), a 2 years Post
Graduate programme along with a Centre for Research in Business Studies with Five Research Supervisors are the enticement for the department.
